I'm an awful blogger.
I'm an irresponsible blogger. But I don't suppose it matters. I don't do very many interesting things. Maybe someday I will. Maybe someday I'll work for Google or Vogue...Or I'll be an adreneline junkie and jump out of planes or survive in the wild for a living. (I doubt it - the surviving in the wild part)
There's been nothing new in my life, really, but it's been super busy. Titan, my beloved 5-year-old Lab, had an allergic reaction in January, which led to 4 vet visits in a week (including an emergency after-hours visit and X-rays later in the week). He's fine now, but is on a different medication and special food - something is up with his digestive track! But overall, he's doing much better!
My brother left for his 14-month deployment - he's in Africa this time and is a representative for "Any Soldier" - a program where people can send stuff to soldiers in need. I think it's a really awesome thing - you can send things to make them more comfortable (think decent toilet paper, glasses cleaner, hygiene products) or things to just make them feel a little closer to home (movies, snacks, games, etc).
It's always hard for me when my brother leaves, but this time, knowing I can help him and the other soldiers (any soldier - Marines, Navy, Army, Airforce - everyone! :) )helps to make it a little easier for me. I think it must be so hard for the soldiers who don't have family or don't have friends that can send them things, so it makes me happy that I can contribute. I'm working on a letter, too. It's hard because I don't know what to say to them, other than "thank you and I think it's awesome that you're volunteering at schools and orphanages" but I can't picture sending off a package without a note!
So...that's about all that's interesting in my life right now. Working on work, waiting on my evaluation to graduate from BCC and move on to a(n) university. (A university sounds right...but isn't proper, correct? But "An university" doesn't sound right at all...) We'll see how it goes!
:)
