Well, I guess pico de gallo isn't actually "cooking". But I made it! From scratch. And it was "quite delicious" according to Adam.
So, let's see. I can make:
Chicken breast(s)
Chicken tacos
Marinated flank steak
Baked potatoes drizzled with olive oil
Nachos
Pico de gallo
Roast chicken (with some help)
Stir fried chicken w/ broccoli (like General Tso's without being deep fried, but it's really kind of cheating, cause I buy the sauce in a bottle.)
...and that's about it so far. I think I've made pork chops, but they weren't anything to cheer about. I can also make basics, like scrambled eggs, food from a box (yum yum!)
Things I'd like to learn to make:
Mashed potatoes (which I think should be relatively easy)
BBQ (we JUST got a BBQ!)
Steak
Ham
Potato Soup
Chicken noodle soup
Cornbread
Chow Mein
Chow Fun
Fried Rice
Chinese BBQ chicken
Spring Rolls
Dong (uh, it's this Chinese sticky rice thing! I can't explain it!)
Enchiladas
Adam's mom's mac 'n cheese
Calzones (per Adam)
and...more stuff. I just haven't figured it all out yet. :) Wish me luck!
And if you have any simple, but yummy recipes, let me know :)
